These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EasyVideoClips (the "Service") operated by EasyVideoClips ("we," "us," "our"). The Service is available at easyvideoclips.com.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service allows users to upload video files and split them into smaller clips using supported split modes (e.g., by seconds, equal chunks, or timestamp ranges) and download the resulting output (typically as a ZIP file).

We may modify, update, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have authority to enter these Terms.

3. Accounts and Security

  • You must provide accurate account information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Plans, Subscriptions, and Billing

A. Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing, plan limits, and included features are described on our pricing page and may change over time.

B. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for recurring fees and applicable taxes.

C. Renewals

Unless canceled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.

D. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal or your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

E. Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. We may provide refunds at our discretion.

F. Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable taxes, and we may collect taxes where required.

5. Usage Limits and Fair Use

A. Plan limits

Your plan may include limits such as:

  • Maximum upload file size
  • Processing allowances measured in GB processed per month
  • Permitted split modes
  • Output retention period (how long ZIP files remain available)

If you exceed limits, we may block processing, require an upgrade, or charge overages if offered.

B. "GB processed" definition

"GB processed" means the total size (in gigabytes) of video files that you submit for processing during a billing period, as measured by the Service.

C. Abuse prevention

You may not use the Service in a way that:

  • Attempts to bypass plan limits
  • Disrupts Service performance
  • Uses automation or excessive requests that overload systems
  • Enables unauthorized access or attacks

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse.

6. Uploaded Content and Your Responsibilities

A. Your content

You retain ownership of the video files you upload ("User Content"). You are responsible for User Content and for ensuring you have all rights needed to upload, process, and download it.

B. Prohibited content

You agree not to upload, process, transmit, or use the Service for content that:

  • Infringes intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, etc.)
  • Is illegal, defamatory, or violates privacy rights
  • Contains malware or attempts to compromise systems
  • Violates applicable laws or regulations

We are not responsible for User Content. We may remove content or suspend accounts if we believe content violates these Terms or law.

C. License to operate the Service

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and transmit your User Content solely to provide the Service (e.g., split the video, generate outputs, provide downloads, and operate support and security).

D. Output ownership

All processed output files (video clips, ZIP archives, stitched videos) created from your User Content remain your property. We claim no ownership rights over your outputs.

7. Storage and Retention of Files

The Service stores uploaded files and output ZIP files temporarily.

  • Output ZIP files are retained only for the duration shown in your plan (e.g., 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days).
  • After the retention period, files may be deleted automatically and may not be recoverable.

You are responsible for downloading outputs before they expire and maintaining your own backups.

8. Intellectual Property

A. Our IP

The Service, including software, design, logos, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by EasyVideoClips and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.

B. Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their terms.

  • AWS S3: Cloud storage for uploaded and processed files
  • AWS EC2: Cloud computing for video processing
  • Supabase: Authentication and database services
  • Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
  • Vercel: Web hosting

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EasyVideoClips, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Service or infringement of third-party rights

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use creates risk to the Service or others.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and files may be deleted according to retention policies.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute will be brought in the courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
