This Privacy Policy explains how EasyVideoClips ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use EasyVideoClips (the "Service"), available at easyvideoclips.com.
1. What We Collect
A. Information you provide
- Account information: email address, password (handled via our authentication provider), and basic profile details you choose to provide.
- Payment information: billing name, billing address, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by Stripe.
- Support communications: messages you send us (e.g., support emails, form submissions).
B. Content you upload (Video Files)
When you upload a video to the Service, we process it to create clips and package them into a ZIP file. Depending on your plan, we store:
- Your uploaded video file temporarily for processing
- Your output ZIP file for a limited time ("Retention Period")
- Associated metadata such as: file name, file size, processing settings (split mode, seconds/chunks/ranges), video duration, timestamps of upload/processing and job status
C. Automatically collected information
- Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, job creation status, and similar product usage events.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps, referring URLs, and error logs.
- Cookies/local storage: used for authentication, security, and preferences. (See Cookies section.)
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service (upload, process, generate clips/ZIP, provide downloads)
- Maintain accounts, authenticate users, and secure the platform
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate with you about the Service (transactional messages, support)
- Improve features and user experience
3. How Video Files Are Stored and Retained
A. Storage
We store uploaded files and output ZIP files in cloud object storage (e.g., AWS S3) and use compute services to process videos (e.g., FFmpeg-based processing).
B. Retention Period
Your output ZIP file is stored for a limited time based on your plan:
- Free: 1 hour
- Starter: 24 hours
- Creator: 48 hours
- Pro: 7 days
After the Retention Period, output ZIP files are automatically deleted. Uploaded source files may also be deleted after processing or within a short timeframe to minimize storage.
C. Download links
Downloads are provided via time-limited links (for example, expiring links) designed to reduce unauthorized access.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data under these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you requested
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the Service
- Consent: where required for optional cookies/marketing
- Legal obligations: compliance with applicable laws
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed:
- Service providers (processors):
- AWS (hosting, storage, processing)
- Supabase (authentication and database)
- Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
- Legal and safety: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud/abuse.
- Business transfers: if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Authentication and session management
- Security (fraud prevention, rate limiting)
- Preferences and basic analytics (if enabled)
You can control cookies through your browser settings. If we use optional analytics/marketing cookies, we will provide appropriate controls where required by law.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, such as:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
- Access controls and least-privilege permissions
- Logging and monitoring
No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you without undue delay (and within 72 hours where required by GDPR) via email or through the Service. We will provide information about the nature of the breach and steps you can take to protect yourself.
8. Your Rights and Choices

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via the Service or email.
